The casting-beds play an important role in the quality of the produced hollow-core slabs. The EXCODO casting-bed has been developed to quarantee the best result.

Technical Specification

(Under)frame

Specific (under)frame-construction (pieces of 12m1)
At both ends of the bed are the stress-blocks, which are part of the bed itself.
The bed itself is given a permanent stress. Therefore special stresswires are put in the (under)frame.
Optional integrated heating-tubes to reduce the production cycle-time.

Topside

On the (under)frame normally a steel-plate with round edges will be installed together with plain St.52-rails. Another possiblility is to install V-shaped St.52-rails weld on a plain steel-plate.

Installation

(under)frame-construction (pieces of 12m') are placed
Special stress-wires placed inside the frame
Heating-tubes placed inside the frame
The (under)frame is filled with concrete
The bed is given it's permanent stress
The upper-plate and rails is placed and welded on the frame.
